Has anyone done research what type of breads for Shabbat were used in our Western Sephardic Communities before the braided Germanic brioche (whose ancient origins are hair-raising) was adopted from the Ashkenazim? My family custom was to use the same as the one as what once used by Italian Sephardim, as confirmed by Catriel Ceballos
